PROPERTY TRANSFER TAX
1% of the first $200,000
2% on the portion of the fair market value greater than $200,000 and up to and including $2,000,000,
3% on the portion of the fair market value greater than $2,000,000, and
If the property is residential, a further 2% on the portion of the fair market value greater than $3,000,000 (effective February 21, 2018).

GST is 5% based on the purchase price and applicable to new builds.
This is due at completion.
GST REBATE is available to buyers if newly built property is less than $350,000.
If the property is $450,000, there is a partial rebate for the portion between $350,000 to $450,000.
Additional Property Transfer Tax for Foreign Entities & Taxable Trustees
BC: An additional 20% is added on to the proportionate share if one is a foreign national, a foreign corporation, or a taxable trustee.
